Salary Cap Baseball General Information:
 
12 Team, Mixed League, Keeper
Points based, Daily lineups
Auction Based, $260
$50 Entry Fee
Top 4 positions payout:  4th gets entry fee ($50), Of remaining pot, 1st = 50%, 2nd = 30%, 3rd = 20%
 
Rosters:
 
  • 25 man roster
  • Start: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, DH, SP, SP, RP, RP, P
  • In season $300 Salary Cap after auction
  • Prices paid for players at auction or via in season pickup stay with them as salaries
  • Weekly inseason blind bid process (real dollars)
  • Max bid of $10 per player, if tied, owners are then in a bidoff
  • Owners are charged for every player they win a bid on, regardless if they are put on the active roster.
  • Only players put on the active roster when picked up count towards the Salary Cap
  • Can drop players with no salary cap implications
  • Must attempt to keep full roster at all times (i.e. if open slot after trade or drop, must bid to fill roster)
  • In season trade deadline
  • Trades cost $1 per player (real dollars) in season, free in offseason
  • Roster requirements and Salary Cap not applicable during offseason
  • Roster eligibility to be determined by host site
  • Maximum games played/innings pitched

Keeper Information:
 
  • Must keep at least 4 players, can keep up to 8, remaining under $100 Keeper Salary Cap
  • Salaries of players kept is deducted from Auction dollars (i.e. if full $100 is kept, owner begins auction with $160)
  • Players can be kept a maximum of 3 years, salaries escalate $5 every year kept
  • Salaries and years kept remain with player when traded
  • Players value resets to $0 when dropped
  • Players years kept resets to 0 when dropped
 
League Administration:
 
  • Trade Veto by majority vote in league (should not be used except in cases of obvious foul play)
  • In settling League Disputes, the Commissioner will seek consensus, but retains right of final arbiter
  • Yahoo Free Fantasy Baseball is the most likely host site
  • Commissioner will maintain website for players salaries and years kept
  • Commissioner’s entry fee waived for services rendered
